VIP Roller Customer Testimonial

HE-VA VIP rollers with 2 male customersBased near to Melrose in the Scottish Borders and farming across three farms plus doing contracting work, Andrew Wood was looking for a replacement for his land rollers. Following a discussion with Neil Douglas, his Rickerby representative, whom Andrew describes as a, "good lad who knows his stuff", he liked the look of the HE-VA 6.3 22" VIP rollers. "They looked strong and good for consolidation", he said.

"They offer a lot of the features and benefits that larger rollers offer too. They have a single pivot which connects them to the centre section, this allows them to pivot while following the contours of the ground. The rings are mounted on 60mm axels for strength and long life and are covered by a five-year warranty."

"What I like is that when you are in the field, you just unfold and off you go and the same in reverse when leaving the field, all done from the tractor cab. The wings are secured in two locking cradles for transportation and the wheels are strong for road work, with good road lights. During travel the weight is shared between the wheels and the tractor, making for a stable combination."

"I feel that they make more even crops because of the consolidation. In a dry spring like this this year they held the moisture in the ground too. We work across three farms of our own plus do contract work, so they are well used and cover a lot of acres."

Andrew and his son Robbie along with two workers farm 1,000 acres of their own over three farms, of which 600 acres are arable. They also have a herd of 60 cows and 800 breeding sheep.
